Prematurity – Week 17

Prematurity

Throughout my medical career as an obstetrician, prevention and treatment of premature birth was always something of concern in most otherwise normal pregnancies.  The list of causes is beyond the scope here, but the lesson this week 17 in Haanel’s Master Key talks about what we now know as the Law of Compensation (Emerson) and its relation to premature wealth or position.

Premature wealth happens sometimes when the path you follow just goes a certain way instead of another way and premature wealth just falls into your lap.  If we don’t plan in an insightful and subconscious way,  the objects (like automobiles, houses, jewelry, etc.) that are exchanged by a person with money become another concrete buddha.  This leaves the gold Buddha beneath the real you still covered and undiscovered.   Haanel writes about this when he talks about our needing to find the kingdom before the “things added”.

This kingdom is not the Kingdom of God we seek in the next world and connect to through our prayers, but the kingdom of the mind we feed and nurture through this concentrated thought and weekly training in the mastermind.

I like the thought in paragraph 30 that the man with a large bank account finds it unnecessary to load his pockets down with gold.  Again, this is what so many people do as they inherit or participate in ventures that have little to do with the true values of love, happiness, and the real DMP of our selves.  Who we are on the inside is what counts.  The trappings of wealth in the world without don’t count in the world within.

Premature Birth and the Mastermind Alliance

Prematurity is prevented in pregnancy by good health before conception, continual observation for normal development and the avoidance of factors associated with bad outcome.  In our 26 week mastermind gestation of thought, we must do the same.  I think most of us found this course through previous exposure to the principles of Go90Grow which apply to almost any business. (pre conceptional care)  Perhaps we heard about it through a friend or a referral to “doctor” Mark J. before and during this journey.  He’s got our back and is observing our growth through our writings and participation.  Replacement of the bad habits like junk food, smoking, and lack of exercise are factors to be modified before and during pregnancy.  Likewise our current bad habits in our mental blueprint need modification through the Master Key Master Mind Alliance and the negative diet before and during our search for bliss.  However we got here today, we were in a certain position of our lives when we started.  Some of us miscarried very prematurely and quit the program.  Some were lost further along the way.  Those of us still here find the baby starting to kick and getting ready for that new birth.  This is getting exciting!

I was born in the same hospital I trained in almost 65 years ago. Family came from good old Germanic stock matched with my Irish mother's value added good cooking and discipline. I had four brothers and I was the oldest. Education was with the Notre Dame nuns, the Jesuit priests, and then the Holy Cross fathers at Notre Dame. I completed my medical school back in Milwaukee and actually trained in the same hospital I was born in. My best thing that ever happened to me was meeting and then marrying my Kathy, a patient and loving gal who has given me three great sons and a lot of her patience. The story is longer, but for now check out donketterhagen.com for more specifics. We spend our days building a Lyoness shopping network and living in the mountains of North Carolina in the summer and Estero, Florida over the winter. Life is good.

    1. Joe, we can make that gestation pass quickly with our sit and persistence with the exercises. Look forward to seeing what the “baby” looks like. Keep me posted!

  1. Don, an outstanding post this week, really enjoyed reading it. I loved your analogy about “prematurity”, really helped to put the weeks lesson in a very relatable context.

    1. Thanks for your comments. I like the analogy too. I’m sure many people with life experiences in other fields can draw from their past to relate to the future.

  2. Perfect analogy between how to prevent premature birth during pregnancy and premature wealth & position; through modification of our old blue print by the Master Key Master Mind Alliance. Maintaining a healthy mental diet, replacing old habits with new, and mental housecleaning. Very insightful post Don.
